16th July 2011 Windsurfing: Eastbourne Extreme Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 20mph+ Surf / Sea State: Nice waves Air Temperature: Ok Sea Temperature: Ok Weather: Heavy rain cleared and the wind stayed Max Speed: Distance Covered: Eastbourne Extreme so at the beach early. Miserable conditions with heavy rain but we all hung on the thought itd clear and by 3pm it did, and coincided with tide dropping so the mast high shore dump was no longer a concern either .... Phew As the rain cleared the wind stayed and the waves also shaped up. Typical for the location it was a little light on the inside but out the back was 5.0m weather easy .... However, I opted 5.7 and the 96 to go through the lulls :) Great couple hours before I thought that I ought to get some photos of the action. More tomorrow with less rain, and likely to be a bit more structure too as Trevor will run some freewave and we will also run the one hour too |
